Marwa Haddar is a Strategy and Finance specialist with a special focus on corporate finance, financial restructuring, and strategic advisory services to corporate clients, development financial institutions (DFIs) and family offices across multiple countries in Asia, Middle East and Africa.

Recent and ongoing assignments in which Marwa has played a leading role include restructuring of a major sovereign wealth fund in the Middle East, establishment of a family of investment funds in Africa and re-development of a major infrastructure project in Asia.

Prior to joining Blue Monsoon, Marwa worked with a multinational energy company and with a bank in Europe and Africa. She also advised a family-owned electronics and food processing business group in North Africa on strategic transformation. Marwa has been involved in advisory services of several technology start-ups in France and Tunisia with a focus on integrating the sustainable development goals (SDGs) into their business models, led research studies on small and medium enterprises and the entrepreneurial ecosystem in North Africa. She is currently active in the development of several social entrepreneurship projects addressing issues relating to gender inequality, refugees’ resettlement, education and poverty relief.

Marwa holds a master’s degree in Finance and a B.Sc. in Business Studies with Highest Honors from IHEC Carthage (Tunis, Tunisia). She worked at several French universities teaching financial mathematics & economics. She has also undertaken pathbreaking research studies on corporate finance and governance at universities in France and Canada. Marwa speaks fluent English, French, Arabic and Italian with knowledge of Spanish and German.
