SAM CHAN

Sam Chan is a highly analytical investment manager with strong experience in evidence-based and process-driven evaluation of individual companies and industries in both developed and emerging markets. Skilled strategist with robust scenario simulation management aimed at business model discovery and adaptation based on operating process, value proposition, enterprise asset allocation and macro trends. Sam brings in-depth understanding of the emerging markets and their business cultures and practices, having conducted businesses in China, Malaysia, Turkey, Vietnam and Indonesia.

Active in advising development financial institutions, investment funds and multinational companies in the United States, Middle East, India, ASEAN regions and China in formulation and implementation of asset management programs, financial restructuring and work-out, corporate transformation initiatives and M&A strategy. Sam works as general partner of private equity groups in launching investment funds with multinational conglomerates as equity investors and strategic partners

Prior to Blue Monsoon Capital, Sam held a leadership position with US-Asia Links in the US, responsible for orchestrating strategic partnership and alliance with international educational and medical institutions, such as Georgetown University and Adventist Healthcare, as well as Global Fortune 500 healthcare, development and construction companies, such as McKesson Corporation, CBRE, Trammell Crow Company and China Railway Construction Group.

Sam also practiced as a consulting engineer and project manager in early days of his professional career in the US, focusing on electrical system engineering and project management of district power distribution network and large-scale property development projects. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from NYU/Polytechnic University (New York).
